Pest Management app pilot needs your feedback

The IPM (Integrated Pest Management) Coalition is developing the “Pesticides & Alternatives” – APP with the objective to support pest control with less negative environmental and human impact.

The APP is targeted for technical decision-makers of farms, fields and forests. It provides:

  • Access to toxicity information from government authorities or academic institutions
  • The restriction status for eight standard systems of more than 700 pesticide active ingredients in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
  • All registered pesticides for a crop and pest species for Mexico and India, as well as per crop variety for Brazil, Colombia and South Africa.
  • Non-chemical pest control alternatives from CABI for 2700 pest species.

APP users in these five countries can select non-chemical alternatives or less toxic pesticides registered for pest control. In the future, the APP intends to cover more countries and more languages.

Please submit your answers before September 18th, 2018.
