The National Sustainability Curriculum for Arabica (NSC-A) was successfully launched in Indonesia on 24 August.
Wasting no time, SCOPI (Sustainable Coffee Platform of Indonesia), facilitated by GCP Indonesia, began to roll-out the NSC-A through a training course held in Bondowoso on 26-29 August. 50 trainer assistants from 5 sub-districts attended the training course.
The master trainers who graduated from the roll-out will train trainer assistants to deliver NSC-A’s content to the farmers. Based on an agreement with the government, SCOPI and GCP Indonesia will continue to support this roll out in the 2nd level implemented at Enrekang District, South Sulawesi Province, which is famous for producing Arabica KALOSI.
This roll out was facilitated by SCOPI, GCP Indonesia, coffee research (ICCRI), and Estate Crops Department of Enrekang District, and of course the 3 master trainers who trained in the 1st level implementation.
