The Digital Coffee Farmer Program (“Produtor Informado”) trained almost 800 coffee farmers on sustainable practices of the Brazilian Coffee Sustainability Curriculum (CSC), which was publicly launched in March 2015. The sessions also covered how to use the computer as a management tool in the first semester of 2016.
The Digital Coffee Farmer Program is a partnership of the Global Coffee Platform with member Cecafé (Brazilian Coffee Exporters’ Council) and is achieving encouraging results on the implementation of field practices. The project aims to reach over 800 growers in the second semester of 2016.
This 14-week program training educates, motivates and mobilizes growers to continuously improve the sustainability of their farms. Growers are investing on their own and implementing the CSC practices even before the training ends.
