About the Platform

Country Platform: Sustainable Trade Platform (STP), Coffee

The Sustainable Trade Platform (STP) works in four commodity sectors (palm oil, banana, flowers, and coffee) to create a neutral space where stakeholders can discuss strategies to address sustainability issues in Colombia such as higher production costs or climate change.

Established in 2012, STP focuses on sector-specific, country-wide sustainability issues like producer support, market access and climate change, as well as issues faced by individual companies. The platform provides a space to address issues previously avoided because of competitive concerns.
